Matthew A. Rivela, an esteemed figure in the legal world, is our new Limited Partner. Rivela’s career, spanning nearly two decades, is marked by his work with iconic brands and prominent individuals, primarily in Media, Sports, Entertainment, M&A, Transactional, Litigation, and Corporate law. His exceptional talent in delivering impactful ROIs has earned him a stellar reputation across multiple industries.
Rivela’s expertise extends to engineering high-profile agreements, including those involving famous athletes, entertainers, and celebrities. His role as chief negotiator and primary draftsman has been pivotal in content production agreements and distribution rights licenses spanning various genres. His strategic vision has driven numerous consumer offerings, branded activations, and revenue-generating initiatives, showcasing his versatility and deep industry connections.
His academic journey includes a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School, Boston, MA, and a Bachelor of Arts from Westfield State University. Rivela holds legal licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the State of Connecticut, and the State of New York.
Shani Phillips: A Versatile Legal Mind with a Heart for Service
Shani Phillips joins as Counsel, bringing a rich tapestry of experiences to the firm. Her focus areas include Cannabis Law, Corporate Law, and Property Law, with a special interest in individual privacy rights. Phillips’s advocacy extends to veterans, disability, and refugee rights, underscored by her notable research on Colorado guardianship laws.
Phillips, a veteran of the United States Army Special Operations, exemplifies commitment to service. Her diverse background includes being a wildland firefighter and the founder of a successful bread company in Colorado. Her multilingual proficiency and passion for outdoor activities, cooking, and gardening reflect her multifaceted personality.
She is admitted to practice in Colorado and North Carolina and currently resides in North Carolina.
